ME & MY FIRST LOVE
I am a Soulaani woman, mother of two beautiful souls, and have been nurturing families through the sacred cycle of pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood since 2018.
People describe me as bright, warm, and easy to talk to. I love exchanging ideas and tend to think outside the box and walk unconventional pathways.
My journey as a birth worker began in 2016, when my passion for lactation led me to a local support group. There, I saw the impact of a well-educated, supportive village and medical team — and knew I wanted to be part of that. Shortly after, I became a Lactation Educator Counselor and Full-Spectrum Doula and have been serving families ever since.
MY PRACTICE
I’ve been blessed to train under Black midwives and birth workers. They are my community and family, the people I go to when I need nurturing.
During my 8 years of service as a doula I’ve supported medicated and non-medicated births, VBACs, Caesarian births, hospital and home births, families with babies in the NICU, and pregnancy loss.
I’ve hosted support groups and healing circles. I’ve served on boards as well as co-founded a local birth worker collective.
Today, I specialize in lactation support—my first love—and consider myself a lactation-doula. Although lactation is my first love I happily help families with any feeding method they choose.
MY VALUES
I value matriarchy. Matriarchy is not women over men. It seeks to center people over profit and support the success of the next generation. It honors human biology, spirit, and mother nature. It seeks to ensure all are served, and served well.
I value family and community. Families are the blueprint of society. When families are suffering so is society... but when they are well, communities thrive.
